Direct flights to Memanbetsu Airport are available from major airports both within and outside Hokkaido, with flights taking approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from Haneda Airport and approximately 45 minutes from New Chitose Airport and Okadama Airport. Seasonal flights are also available from Chubu Centrair International Airport, Itami (Osaka) Airport, and Kansai International Airport, making it easy to visit the rich natural beauty of eastern Hokkaido from all over the country.
From the airport, it is about a 20-minute drive to Abashiri and about 80 minutes to Shiretoko. It is a convenient base for sightseeing in eastern Hokkaido, and once you arrive, you can easily travel to various places by rental car or bus.
